Absence Explained

I want to apologize to you guys for not having anything on the front page in almost 10 days.  I've been on a business trip (for lack of a better term) for the last week and a half, and Reno has been similarly busy.  The original plan was to have posts scheduled to publish every 2-3 days, but I was stupid about saving them and now they're lost forever in cyberspace.

The silver lining, if there is one, is that this absence couldn't have come at a better time as far as news with the team goes.  The following is an actual story that I found in my overflowing RSS Reader today:

NUFC new boys snap up homes in Newcastle | ChronicleLive

The story itself is fine; it shows that the organization is dedicated to helping the newbies adjust to life in the North East.  That it's a story at all should give you a clear indication of how slow things have been on Tyneside.

There are, of course, some new transfer rumors out there, most of which are pretty unbelievable, but they exist nonetheless and when we get back up and running in the next couple of days we'll address them.  We'll also pick back up with the Community Player Ratings and we'll be watching when the lads start training at the beginning of next week (!).

I would like to remind you that the FanPosts and FanShots are a great way for you guys to make this blog your own.  This community has grown at a decent clip the last few weeks (save for the most recent one), so you can be sure that any conversation you start will not be ignored.

All of that to say: We're not dead, and we hope you understand the lack of activity around here the last few days.  We'll be picking up right where we left off very soon.
