What happens when the collected Premier League Blogs on the SB network get together and play in googledocs? Why the SBN EPL Power Rankings happen. Each of the participating blogs ranks the 20 clubs from 1 to 20, many number-y things happen and then they put things all together and the result is a ranking of where we as a Blog Network feel the clubs shake out. No word on exactly which voter has been bought off by Sky Sports as Liverpool make their appearance in this edition still inside the top 6.
I feel compelled to share this little anecdote with you: When I was made aware that the power rankings were out, I thought to myself: I wonder where I would rank the Toon if I were to perform a similar exercise. "Self," I said out loud as there were none around to make snap judgements about my sanity, "I think that Newcastle should come out at ###### (<- ranking redacted)." "Well, then, self, why don't you check it out and see?" So I did. And darn if my idea of where the Toon should rank after 3 weeks and the idea of the SBN brain trust were exactly. the. same.
Check out the power rankings here, and then add your ideas and comments below? Any clubs over- or under-rated? Would you have done it differently? Discuss.
Also, Ryan Rosenblatt made a video recap of the transfer window, just in case you want to relive our glorious triumph. It's after the jump.
