It was a close vote, but in a 3-2 decision, blog readers have selected "Newcastle United: 50 Years of Hurt" to be our first book for the CHN Book Club. The book, by Ged Clarke, recounts the history of Newcastle United. The book is described as "humerous", and though I bought in February, I haven't cracked it open yet.
The book is available on Amazon. It seems like the Kindle edition is the way to go. Don't have a Kindle? Not a problem. Kindle apps are free from computers, tablets and even phones (I've read a novel on my phone before. It's a bit odd at first, but you get used to it). There also seem to be some used copies for sale as well.
I look forward to delving into the history of our club with all of you, and this may be the future English teacher in me coming out, but I'm also really looking forward to discussing the book with you.
