It's here....Kickoff Saturday Open Thread

Former Newcastle boss Chris Hughton is ready to lead Norwich City this season. - Jan Kruger

No Newcastle yet, but the Premiership kicks off with seven matches on Saturday.

No more waiting, football is back. The off-season and it's wild, rampant speculation are drawing to a close (though the transfer window is open for another week) and we get to see actual games again. Newcastle doesn't play until Monday, but seven games grace the schedule for the 2013-14 English Premier League opener. Consider this an open thread for those games.

The first match of the season features Liverpool hosting Stoke City. The Potters don't have a blog here at SB Nation, but we've got that match more than covered with Anfield Asylum and The Liverpool Offsides.

Five matches are set to kick off at 10:00 Eastern, including one that will interest a lot of American fans: Sunderland hosting Fulham. Fulham have a long tradition of playing Americans, but there's no one hotter for the USMNT than Sunderland's prize summer acquisition Jozy Altidore. The Roker Report has this covered from the Mackem perspective. Cottager's Confidential will bring you up to speed on Fulham.

In the other matches, league newcomers Cardiff City will try to make an early impression on the top flight, when they visit West Ham. Aston Villa pay a visit to Arsenal. Chris Hughton's Norwich City side play host to Everton and USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard. Southampton will travel to Hawthorn's for a match with West Brom. The late match on Saturday features David Moyes's Premiership debut with Manchester United, in a storyline you've no doubt heard about repeatedly since the end of last summer. Moyes and the Red Devils travel to Wales to take on Swansea City.

Should be a fun morning of football. Hope you'll follow along with us here!
