Everton 3, Newcastle 2 Community Player Ratings

Julian Finney

Newcastle United were defeated 3-2 by Everton at Goodison Park Monday in a match that was nowhere near as close as the scoreline indicates. The Toon were as dire as a team can be in the first half, and that they only conceded 3 goals was something of a victory. Alan Pardew changed up his lineup coming out of the dressing room, and Yohan Cabaye scored just 6 minutes after entering. Loic Remy added one in the 89th minute, and there was a brief flurry from the visitors, but ultimately Newcastle dropped three points when they could have gained some instead.
