Match Day Live Thread: Newcastle United v. Liverpool

Get in and have some good banter!

Stu Forster

Today is one of those days which can shift perception of an entire 3 months of action. if Newcastle are able to go into Anfield and take the full three points for the first time since 1994, they are suddenly 6th place (1 point of 5th), leading their group in the Europa League and would have supporters feeling pretty darn good considering the play on the pitch has been... not to the standard we'd hope for all things considered.

You'll find it around that Liverpool are struggling at home this calendar year with only 3 victories... but fully 33% of those have come against our beloved Toon, so there's that. It is a fixture that we have struggled in since the inception of the Premier League, but if we truly "rounding back into form" as Alan Pardew has suggested, this particular day feels like we might could just nick it and break one of our long-standing ducks against the "top sides".
