I don't know if you could pick one low point from last year, but the 6-0 drubbing that Newcastle took from Liverpool had to be it. Considering that we had something like a 10 goal lead in goal differential against Aston Villa that was completely wiped out in one weekend didn't help. It was just bad.

Newcastle has the opportunity to make some of those bad memories dissipate when they host the Reds again. It's the early game, so hopefully you get here for kickoff. Follow along with us below!

As discussed on the Podcast, Fabricio Coloccini is out for today's match. Alan Pardew has said that Newcastle should be able to get along without him, but I think many fans are less convinced.

Jonas Gutierrez is also out, due to "personal reasons". We wish him well and hope to see him back with the club soon.

SB Nation site, The Liverpool Offsides has said that Liverpool can field one of their strongest teams of the season today. Here is their preview of the match.

The Telegraph predicts Mike Williamson and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa will be featured in Newcastle's back line today.

Neil Cameron says Newcastle need more unpredictability from Hatem Ben Arfa.

Newcastle fans are organizing an anti-Mike Ashley march before today's match.

Don't forget about today's Predictor's League. Submissions close five minutes prior to kickoff.
