In his press conference today, Alan Pardew has said that not only will the long term injuries that we're already aware of miss out on this weekend's important match at The Hawthorns but Sylvain Marveaux will definitely miss as well. In addition to all of those players, Cheik Tiote is termed a "big doubt" for the clash. The injury bug has been a problem all season for Newcastle United, but this newest injury will be considered cruel as Marveaux has been widely considered to be one of the club's best outfield players in the last several matches. Between here and the start of the match, the supporters of the club will be left hoping that Hatem Ben Arfa will be fit enough to feature in the starting XI against WBA to help bring some of the creativity and attacking verve that will be missing with Marveaux out.
The miss of Cheik Tiote will also be troubling as it will shift the midfield load squarely onto an exhausted Yohan Cabaye and an equally tired looking Moussa Sissoko and either Vurnon Anita or James Perch.
