Bafétimbi Gomis and More: All The Latest

Keep up to date on the progress of the Gomis transfer, Bedo Fif and other pertinent stories here.

It's time for a quick update on Newcastle United's transfer dealings. Less than 3 weeks to go until the start of the season, so things really ought to be picking up.

Newcastle United won't pony up an extra £3,000 to agree personal terms with Bafétimbi Gomis.

Or wait. Maybe it's that personal terms have been agreed, but OL want more transfer fee.

We could always bring in Loïc Rémy (which I endorse because I know how to type BOTH of the special characters in his name).

Today, however, we've been linked with 18-year-old wunderkind M'baye Niang of AC Milan. Oddly, we're in again for a loan deal where the owning club would prefer a transfer.

With their current injury situation at the striker position, however, Milan would prefer not to shift Niang at all (at least until after the Champions League play-offs are concluded).

From the "Things that make you go Hmmm department": Valenciennes have received an offer for Gaetan Bong (who I thought had already been transferred) from... OUTSIDE OF FRANCE."

And that is your transfer roundup for the day. All the substance, but with 100% moar cute.
