Newcastle United 1 - 1 Braga: As It Happened

Newcastle United wrapped up their preseason at St. James' Park today.

Newcastle United welcomed Sporting Braga to St. James' Park for their final preseason test ahead of the 2013-14 Premier League campaign.  With new (loan) signing Loïc Rémy sidelined with a pre-existing injury and Best Director of Football In Football Joe Kinnear on hand, Alan Pardew put out a relatively standard lineup that gave Moussa Sissoko a chance at a more central role and also featured preseason leading scorer Shola Ameobi starting up top next to Papiss Cissé.

In the midst of a threatened boycott by the "Support the Team, Not the Regime" folks, the twitter feed was relatively slow and tame, but we've put a storify together if only to commemorate the significant achievement that the team managed around the hour mark of the match.  Hatem Ben Arfa and Fabricio Coloccini combined to... well...
