Well, isn't this an exciting development. Alan Pardew wants Yohan Cabaye to play on Saturday. Pardew says that Cabaye has "responsibilities" to Newcastle, and has named the French star to his squad to face Fulham. Pardew held a "clear the air" talk with Cabaye, so we'll see if it has an impact. Pardew calls Cabaye Newcastle's most "creative" player, and admits that Newcastle need some options offensively after going their first two league games without scoring.
Cabaye's national team coach says he feels bad for him because "clubs have all the power".
Sky Tyne and Wear says Newcastle are looking at bringing Demba Ba back on loan.
Pardew says that if Newcastle get three points on Saturday, they'll have had a good start to the season. Pardew says he hopes the club can build off its Capital One Cup win over Morecambe.
Speaking of Morecambe, their Twitter feed was all types of sporting and awesome:

Morecambe interacted a lot with their fans and Newcastle fans after the tie, which was fun to see.
Andrew Beck over at Cottager's Confidential writes up what he wants and what he expects out of the match. Go say hello.
Fulham are also advancing in the Capital One Cup, after winning in penalties against League 2 side Burton Albion.
