Proving so many of the doubters wrong, Newcastle United have entered the fray on Transfer Deadline Day. Predictably under the tenure of our illustrious Director of Football, the move comes in the form of a loan. AND the winner is:
<The envelope please>
CURTIS GOOD! The young Australian center back will heading to the seemingly vogue PL loan destination that is the Scottish Premier League, joining Dundee United until the end of the season. Reports are that he will go directly into the squad for The Terrors for their match against Partick Thistle tomorrow. Those same reports quote the Dundee United manager as describing Good as a "left-footed player (true) who can play CB (true) or LB (also true)...". I have heard that often times loan moves can involve stipulations regarding how the player should be used, and after Good's loan move to Bradford City last season in which he was primarily used as a LB, I'm sure that Newcastle would just as soon he spend most of his time at the CB position with somewhat of a logjam at LB in the squad currently with the presence of Davide Santon, Massadio Haïdara and Paul Dummett.
And you all thought we wouldn't have anything to talk about today.
