Surprising to no one, The Chronicle is reporting that Sylvain Marveaux has held "crisis talks" with Alan Pardew regarding his place in the Newcastle United squad following being omitted completely for the midweek match at Norwich City. Understandably, "the moody French winger" (??!?) is growing thin on patience at his lack of action, especially in light of the loan of Jonas Gutierrez and the injury to Yoan Gouffran. Marveaux seems to be a casualty of the buy all the flexible players even if they all play the same position transfer policy that Newcastle United have employed in recent days, and seeing Sammy Ameobi jump ahead of him in the reckoning as well as having 16 year-old Adam Armstrong on the bench ahead of him would understandably be seen as a shove toward the exit door (except for you can't go you have to stay here and fill out the reserves, or something.)
Without any strengthening of the squad, it's hard to see Marveaux or his fellow forgotten man Gabriel Obertan being allowed to leave, so the frustration is sure to just rise to higher levels, I should think.
