While the World Cup has been thrilling football fans, it shouldn't be overlooked that we are right in the middle of "silly season". And Newcastle even signed somebody! Of course, some people are on the move out as well. That and more in today's Toon Crier.

Basically, all Mathieu Debuchy has to do now is hold up his new shirt at Arsenal. Multiple reports have confirmed the move. Arsenal were going to hold off making an announcement until after the World Cup, though with France's loss to Germany, that process was likely sped up.

Who will replace Debuchy? Metro takes a look at five options for Newcastle. Anyone fancy Nathaniel Clyne?

Moussa Sissoko had himself a nice World Cup and is now drawing interest from Liverpool and Ligue 1 side Monaco.

As for who is coming in, Alan Pardew says Siem de Jong is getting fit with the club after missing out on the World Cup due to injury. He also says they use the World Cup as a chance to scout players they aren't familiar with (such as players from South America).

One who got away: Pierre-Michael Lasogga signs with Hamburg.

Neil Cameron says Newcastle should sign a "has been". He says Newcastle need experience and someone who will be good in the locker room.

Tim Krul says he's used his mind games in penalty kicks before.
