Newcastle United v. Arsenal: How to watch online, TV listings and discussion

Newcastle United hope to keep the damage to a minimum in what promises to be a challenging match. John Carver has a severely diminished squad and Arsenal are good. Let's watch, hug and try to get through this.

This one time, a match against Arsenal was fun.

Working Class John Carver is looking to get Newcastle United to smile their way to success against Arsenal for the first time in their last 7 meetings.  Arsene Wnger, for his part, is telling people that Arsenal "have good memories at Newcastle but they are always very tight, very difficult games" which is patently false, but... you know.  It does set up well as a match up for Newcastle as we don't really know where the goals will come from or how we'll stop Arsenal from scoring.  Arsenal are in a position in which their goal difference matters a great deal as they contest another year of Champions League qualification.  If they get up early, there is no incentive for them to coast.  They'll not be inclined to take their foot off of the gas, which means it will be down to Newcastle United's players to have enough about them to keep the match from getting out of hand.  None of this adds up to an encouraging picture, and we may just have to rely on prayer kitten to get through this.

Feel free to chat along with the match in the comments below.  We'll be there for each other.
