SHAPING THE SQUAD: Your 2015/16 Newcastle United Strikers

We've been through the Goalkeepers, Defenders and Midfielders. It's time to see the strikers that you would like to keep for the 2015-16 Newcastle United squad.

It's been a fun series so far.  You've selected the goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders that you would like to stay on Tyneside for the 2015/16 season.  You've voted on the striker(s) that you would like to keep for next year, and it goes without saying that you all are requiring (at this point, unless you have a LOT of confidence in our youth) the ownership to invest quite heavily in the squad.

There have been a couple of surprises as we have gone through the first two votes, but largely there have been very few results that could be termed "upsets"... and the strikers are not different at all.  In fact, it's probably equally as predictable vote as the goalkeepers and defenders were.  There were 5 senior squad strikers to consider.  Only three have scored a goal for Newcastle United in the Premier League this year.  You've decided to keep exactly two of the strikers who have scored in the league this year.

At the end of the day, there was little suspense in this vote.  Papiss CIsse was always going to be voted to stay.  Sure he had an entire season where he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn.  The other 18 months( (outside of his self-scheduled vacation this season), he hasn't stopped scoring.  Ayoze Perez is a great talent and has the potential to be great.  They were always going to be voted to stay.  In the end, however, you have not decided to keep anyone else.  Facundo Ferreyra was probably always a long shot.  Yoan Goufran is always a player who won't fit in with what Alan Pardew or John Carver wanted to do tactically.  Emmanuel Riviere was the only real player with any discussion to be had around him, and you have resoundingly said "we do not want".  As it sets right now, here is your 2015/16 Newcastle United squad:

Goalkeeper (1):  Tim Krul

Right back (1):  Daryl Janmaat

Center back (0):

Left back (2):  Paul Dummett, Massadio Haidara

Central Midfield (2):  Moussa Sissoko, Jack Colback

Attacking Midfield (1):  Siem De Jong

Wing Midfield (3):  Sammy Ameobi, Remy Cabella, Rolando Aarons

Strikers (2):  Papiss Cisse, Ayoze Perez
