We had already received confirmation that Newcastle United were facing Mexican club Atlas in Milwaukee on the 14th of July. It followed that there were more matches that would be announced as there was absolutely no chance that the club would be coming to the US for a one-off match. It was just a matter of time before the club would announce the other fixtures in a US tour.
The announcement did come, and in the absolute most Newcastle way. While the entire world was transfixed by Sepp Blatter's
abdication from the FIFA throne resignation from the Presidency of FIFA, the PR firm of Ashley, Charnley and Carr had a sneaky little tweet announcing the two other matches in the club's US tour. It was brilliant. Within 5 minutes of Blatter's announcement as twitter was on fire and timelines were sprinting with reactions, takes, and jokes, there it was.

Following their opener July 14th against Atlas in Milwaukee, the club will head for Sacramento for a match on July 18th against Sacramento Republic and conclude with a match against Portland Timbers at Providence Park in Portland on July 21st.
Tickets for the Milwaukee match go on sale on Thursday morning – the Toon Army designation section is Section 235 if you're heading to that match. We will keep an eye out and let you know as soon as other matches' ticketing situations are known.
