Well rested? Ready to attack the week? Don't take that attitude with me. I'm just being polite.
There is a good bit of reading below. Actual decisions have been made on at least one player. Some are close to seeing what their future holds. Others just continue to hand out in the lobby. Following Newcastle news on a daily basis, outside of the season, is eroding my sanity.
Last night I did something I rarely do. I watched the NBA. Figuring game seven would have drama, and being couch bound thanks to a pretty significant quad pull playing soccer yesterday, my time did not appear so valuable that seeking out something more educational would be required. While it was not terrible it surely was not something I would watch on a regular basis. Nothing against those who enjoy the sport. Just not my gig.
In truth I only needed to watch the final five minutes of the game. My investment was to see LeBron James win a title for the city of Cleveland. After 52 years the Factory of Sadness has shut down. If you have not seen ESPN's "Believland" take my advice and give it a viewing. I have seen it three times. Those people are long suffering, and they deserve this. The very economic impact that decimated the city is enough to stand on their side of the tracks.
In a year when the likes of Cleveland and Leicester City reach the peak it give me great hope that Newcastle can find a view from the top. Or maybe it means those two teams have sucked all the karma from the rest of the needy clubs.
The argument is that he is not guaranteed first team football considering Daryl Janmaat, Paul Dummett and Vernon Anita are in front of him. Eliminating the argument that at least one of those three will not be with Newcastle at the start of the season, none of them are so good they cannot be replace.
Part of me thinks this is a cheap way to get more information with less real estate used. And how is that bad? Some Hatem Ben Arfa. More important, an update on the kits.
