This weekend’s match saw Newcastle travel to St. Mary’s Stadium to take on Southampton. Newcastle have struggled against Southampton in recent seasons, and Rafa looked to turn that around.
Newcastle walked away with a draw after goals from Hayden and Perez gave Newcastle the lead before the game eventually ended in a draw thanks to 2 goals from Southampton’s Manolo Gabbiadini.
