Welcome to Thursday’s edition of Toon Talk! Where we have a list of topics for everyone to discuss here at Coming Home Newcastle. Our writers and site manager will be taking part in the discussion as well.

So starting off, it seems as if Amanda Staveley is prepared to make an official bid according to reports. Even though there are other reports that suggest a £300m bid was already made. Conflicting reports, but the result is still the same. Excitement.

Remember Shay Given? Well he believes that he was forced out by Mike Ashley, citing a lack of ambition for his exit. He believes that the billionaire tycoon tried to run the club on the cheap. Like we didn’t already know that. (BBC)

Newcastle’s defense this season has been better than most but there are kinks that need to be worked out; discipline being one of them. Just how can Rafa work out those problems to make a streamlined defense lineup that is almost unbeatable? (Soccer Souls)

Only three today as the news is flooded with Staveley news and rumors involving the sale of Newcastle United. It’s hard to find anything else. So maybe we should discuss that.

Let’s. Get. Talking.
