*CheckaTrade Trophy update! Our U21s lost to Port Vale 1-0. Honestly, the first half was pretty poor. They pretty much let Port Vale have their way and they took advantage of a 1-0 lead at the half. The 2nd half was very different. Newcastle took control but could not get the ball over the line. Newcastle drops to 3rd in the group behind Port Vale and Oldham Athletic and Crewe rounding up the bottom. There is one match to play against Oldham and that match will be for advancement to the knockout stages.
