Dwight Gayle is still not yet fit to suit up for Newcastle United’s highly anticipated clash with Brighton and Hove Albion. This means that Aleksandar Mitrovic is likely to take the main striker role against former manager Chris Hughton’s side.
The news came from Newcastle United’s Twitter account:
RB: "Dwight is still improving, but not ready for this game." #NUFC

With the club’s top striker out of action, fans have gotten a bit nervous due to the club’s lack of offensive success. After Newcastle’s draw with Bristol City, the club has fallen one point behind Brighton in the Championship. Tomorrow’s match is crucial to once again getting back on top.
With 20 goals in 26 matches, Gayle is by far the highest scoring player on Newcastle United’s squad. Hopefully he gets back to fitness soon, because the club’s struggles are beginning to generate fear.
