Dwight Gayle Officially “The Best Around” (According to Fans)

Dwight Gayle has just been named EFL Player of the season, by the fans. In an online poll ran by SkySports, Gayle won the PFA Championship player of the season.

Gayle beat Golden Boot winner Chris Wood (9,707 votes) of Leeds and actual EFL Player of the Year Anthony Knockaert (9,214 votes) by securing 14,705 votes to claim the title.

Gayle accounted for 37 percent of all of the total votes for the entire competition. Gayle easily beat out his 5 other competitors thanks to a brilliant campaign where he netted 23 goals in 26 games. The sky is the limit for Gayle, and we can only hope that his success continues on into the Premier League.
