#nufc still pushing for Matt Targett on loan as they look to move Lazaar to Beneveto.

The LB has decent size being 183 cm (6 ft ), and is relatively decent in the air. In 3 years at Southampton Targett has only made 25 league appearances, mustering only 5 last season. Targett is definitely a youth prospect for Southampton appearing in a ton of their cup matches since he was added to the senior team. Currently nothing really stands out about him besides the fact he would be the only actual left back on our roster. He has made 12 appearances for the England U-21 team, but unlike Freddie Woodman he has never received an invite to train with the first team.
This may not be the most exciting news, but NUFC seriously do need a left back and Targett is available.
