Preview: Newcastle United vs St. Patrick’s Athletic

Tuesday night kickoff for the first match of the new season

Newcastle’s season begins Tuesday night against Irish Premier Division side St. Patrick’s Athletic at Richmond Park.

St. Patrick’s currently sit in 6th place out of 10 in the table with 9 wins, 3 draws, and 13 losses. They are currently 31 points behind the leaders.

Over the past week Newcastle have been training just west of Dublin at Carton House. There were 28 total players that took part with Aleksander Mitrovic and Ki Sung-Yueng absent due to allowed time off for vacation after the world cup. Chancel Mbemba was also not present for the training as well as Achraf Lazaar who has been training with the U-23s.

Below is the list of the players that attended training at the Carton House. It remains to be seen on who will be available for the friendly on Tuesday.
