28-year-old midfielder Jack Colback completed a loan move to Nottingham Forest yesterday. He made 16 appearances for the Championship side last season compiling one goal and a whoscored rating of 6.77
Colback had an up and down time in Newcastle but played an integral part in getting NUFC promoted back to the Premier League. The bad was the reported clash between him and Benitez last season where he lost his place in the squad and has been training with the Reserves until his loan last season.
Colback’s contract expires at the end of this season so it seems at the end of this loan spell, Nottingham Forest will negotiate a new contract with the player and will not have to pay a fee to Newcastle.
