Kenedy Agrees to Newcastle United deal on loan

It’s not the permanent deal we all wanted, but Ashley was never gonna shell out the cash to pay for him.

Kenedy is in. For now, at least. The move is not permanent, but yet another loan deal for the Chelsea winger who was a serious part of Newcastle United’s survival effort last season. It’s not exactly what the fans wanted, but it certainly gives Newcastle a cushion to work with while the club looks to sign another strong winger to accompany Shelvey in the midfield.

Beating out tough competition from (yeah, get this) Bayern Munich, and PSG, all looking to potentially sign the winger on a loan deal, Kenedy wanted a return to Newcastle United, which is now about to be complete according to the Daily Mail.

This is probably the best news to come out of the woodwork for Newcastle United fans, despite it not being the news we all wanted to hear, which was a permanent transfer deal.

But this is definitely a step in the right direction for Rafa Benitez, who still has one year left on his contract that he intends to play out. The loan deal for Kenedy was likely not cheap, and Newcastle United still have targets that they’re looking to pounce on.

Scoring twice in 13 games for Newcastle, Kenedy quickly became a fan favorite, which only heightened his enjoyment of first team football in the Premier League with the magpies. With Chelsea continuing to sort out its wing issues with their own impending transfer deals, it’s a blessing to see Kenedy make a return.

At least for the time being.
