Blackpool of League One have reached an agreement that will send 19-year-old Elias Sorensen their way for the remainder of the season.
Sorensen has been on fire for Newcastle’s u-23 squad, scoring 19 goals as a center forward in the season.

Sorensen follows the same path as Sean Longstaff did just a season ago. Longstaff spent all of the 2017/2018 season with Blackpool and gave advice to Sorensen about his upcoming move.
Sorensen said, “You see Sean getting a few games in the Premier League now and he went away to Blackpool and Kilmarnock, so a few loan spells for him worked very well.”
He would also go on to say, “I spoke to him (Longstaff) about it and he liked it when he was here. I thought it would be a great opportunity for me as well.”
Terry McPhillips, the manager at Blackpool, displayed his excitement for landing Sorensen for half a season. McPhillips had this to say:
“We’re delighted to have him and thank Newcastle United for allowing the loan move to happen. We had a similar arrangement with Sean Longstaff last season and it’s been great to watch his development since, making his Premier League debut at Anfield and playing more games since.”
We hope Sorensen the best with his stay at Blackpool.
