Jacob Murphy to be loaned out to West Brom

It’s another deal with West Bromwich Albion that sees a Newcastle player in their direction.

Newcastle United are going to be remembered for their late activity in this transfer window. They’ve made another move by moving Jacob Murphy to West Brom to finish off the season as Newcastle make a push for Premier League safety, and laying the groundwork for more in the future as Rafa Benitez’s future is less in doubt now that signings have been made.

Murphy has managed to break into the first team a few times this season, and he hasn’t really disappointed. But with talent coming Newcastle’s way, it may make sense to give Murphy more playing time in the Championship.

Jacob Murphy signed from Norwich in 2017 as a cheap option to satiate Rafa Benitez’s need for midfield options. He was part of the club’s 10th place effort.

We wish him the best of luck in his journey with West Brom, and hope to see him back next season better than ever.
