Newcastle United will seek to get back into form after an embarrassing loss to Burnley that resulted in no shots on target.

This Saturday Newcastle United will kick off against Crystal Palace as they look to regain their winning ways. After a loss to Burnley Newcastle will again be without Allan Saint-Maximin, their Chief Creative Officer, and will have to rely on Jonjo Shelvey and company to pick up the slack.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility, but Newcastle United will have to readjust their strategy because whatever was done with Burnley failed to yield any results.

So let’s get down to business. Here’s what you need to know going into Saturday’s Match:

  1. Newcastle United will again be without Saint-Maximin (we mentioned this). The club will have to readjust and regroup if they’re going to regain their winning form and put more points on the board.
  2. Crystal Palace is coming off of three straight losses to Liverpool, Chelsea, and Leicester, respectively. Sitting at a respectable ninth place, they at least beat Burnley.
  3. Mamadou Sakho is still suspended, so there is hope that Newcastle United can find a way to offensively take advantage of that gap in Crystal Palace’s defense.

Predicted Lineups (don’t judge me):

Newcastle: Dubravka; Manquillo, Schar, Fernandez, Dummett, Willems; Atsu, Shelvey, Hayden, Joelinton; Carroll

Palace: Guaita; Kelly, Tomkins, Dann, Riedewald; Kouyate, Milivojevic, McArthur; Ayew, Benteke, Zaha

Predicted Results:

Newcastle United 1 - Crystal Palace 2

Newcastle United lose in a tightly contested defensive matchup.
