Newcastle U23s Defeat Reading U23s 2-0

It was a win in 10 Premier League 2 matches for the NUFC U23s. The reserve mags moved up to 4th place in PL2 - Div. 2 as they defeated 3rd place Reading U23s 2-0.

It started with an 18th minute goal by Kelland Watts which was the only action in the first half. In the second half it was back and forth and in the 88th minute, Reading won a penalty. A great save by Nathan Harker gave the lads the confidence to get one more. Just a few minutes later, Tyrique Bartlett knocked home a rebound to seal the 2-0 win.

The U23s next match is away to Leeds United for the PL Cup round of 16 on Monday, February 25th.
