Another Cup win this week for NUFC U23s as they defeated Southampton U23s 3-0.
It started in the 28th minute as a free kick was played into the box when Luke Charman found it and hit a rocket to take a 1-0 lead.
If you don’t recall, Luke Charman was the U23 starting striker and was sent out on loan to Accrington Stanley for the first half of the year. That caused Elias Sorensen to rise through the ranks. Now it seems Luke wants to take his place back.
His celebration didn't last long though as 15 minutes later, a very dangerous challenge on Charman led to him being stretchered off.
In the 80th minute, it was Longelo who crossed a ball in from the left and it was Yannick Toure who easily scored to make it 2-0.
Toure struck again in injury time, scoring off a free-kick to make it his 5th goal this week and a 3-0 lead for the Toon.
