It was a big match for the U23s as they took on league leaders Wolves in the PL2 - division 2. Newcastle needs to keep pace if they want to stay on track for promotion and they certainly did that.

Tyrique Bartlett scored less than a minute into the match, connecting on a Longelo cross to immediately take the lead.

A Wolves own goal in the 7th minute secured an early 3 points for the Toon.

The reserves have three more league matches left and currently sit in 3rd place in the League table. The top of the league gets automatic promotion while the remaining 4 places go into a 4 team playoff. NUFC sit 3 points from 1st place.
