A 2-1 loss doesn’t always get looked at in a positive light but it might be for NUFC. Last time the U18 played derby in the league, they lost 8-0. Derby is in 2nd place in the U18 PL North table while NUFC U18s sit in 9th.
It was a 14th minute goal for Derby County to start the scoring and a surprise equalizer from NUFC came in the 41st minute for Elliot Anderson, his first U18 goal.
It was the same Rams player that scored again just after HT to take a 2-1 lead which ended up being the final. A big improvement from earlier on in the year, but surely our Academy hoped to at least get a point.
NUFC U18s next match will be away to bottom table West Brom, next Friday, March 8th.
