Today we’re starting a new series called Coffee and Newcastle United. Because two things I love dearly are coffee, and well, Newcastle United. So put aside your Coronavirus fears and let’s read some stories about Newcastle United, which may or may not add to your depression, I’m not quite sure.

Arsenal turned on the jets in second half — The Guardian

Newcastle United were unfortunately wrecked by Arsenal yesterday 4-0 as the magpies failed to really turn on the heat. With some awesome flashes of individual brilliance, Newcastle United’s offense continues to leave us wanting. Just overall a disappointing day.

There’s potentially a new tale in the takeover case — The Mag

Something about a rival to the Saudi bid to purchase Newcastle United. Can’t we all just get over it and come to the realization that this just isn’t going to happen this year? Sky Sports is saying that there is a reputable bid, however, this is the same news agency that was reporting heavily on Amanda Staveley’s chances on purchasing the club. I’m not buying it. But you can read this if you’d like.

You thought he was gone, but Jetro ain’t leaving! — The Chronicle

After his unbelievably disappointing injury last month, Newcastle United fans, myself included, thought that Jetro Willem’s time at Newcastle United was over. Despite being one of the most important players this season, his injury left the club again short at the back. But remember, he has a house in Newcastle as well as having a box at the club. “I still have my box here in the stadium and my house here so I will come for the home games,” he told NUFC TV. “I will come over. I’m not done here.” Chills, literal chills.

In Conclusion

That’s all for this morning guys! Hope you have a great rest of your day, and be sure to check back here at Coming Home Newcastle for all the latest and greatest on Newcastle United.

And be sure to leave a comment below on the stories mentioned! Anything I should have added? Let me know!
