Soon after Eddie Howe was revealed to the press, interviews from NUFC with both him and Amanda Staveley were released. Again, citing a new era of communication with fans from the club. While Mike Ashley tended to stay away from cameras when it came to Newcastle, this new ownership group is going out of their way to be in front of fans. Members of the consortium attended the Newcastle United Foundation’s annual Awards dinner where they interacted with fans, journalists, and former players alike. This was yet another example of their initial investment in the fans and community. They seem genuinely excited to be owners of this club, and that is something that we have not seen in some time.
Amanda Staveley sat down with NUFC to talk about initial plans the group has for investment in the club, the search process for a new Head Coach, and once again stressed the importance of the Newcastle faithful who are the backbone of this club.
Howe also sat down with NUFC TV, like Graeme Jones did before, and expressed his delight in being the new Head Coach. He talked about his journey with Bournemouth, what he has learned in his time off from football, and what his focus is right now with the team in the midst of a relegation battle.
