The Premier League and EA Sports have announced the eight-man list of nominees for the Player of the Month of April. And of course, because the kid just doesn’t know how not to tear the league apart, Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes easily made the cut. Vamos!

The field of players picked for this month’s candidacy come from all sorts of places, top-to-bottom of the table. Nathan Collins represents Burnley and the phenomenal form the club is currently at. Kevin De Bruyne and a reborn Gabriel Jesus are the only two players coming from the same team, Manchester City. Cristiano Ronaldo is in it as the brightest light to come from Manchester United, while Spanish maestro Thiago si the one repping Liverpool. Bruno and Leandro Trossard, from Brighton, close this month’s list.

Bruno is becoming a Toon legend even if he stepped on Tyneside for the first time just four months ago. Just in April, the Brazilian went on a six-game run in which he dumped three goals and facilitated another one on top of everything. All in all, Bruno got to celebrate four Magpie victories against just two losses, thus helping Newcastle to reach the top half of the table with three games to go. No need to mention it, but this would be the first time in Bruno’s career winning the award.

If you want to vote (why would you not) for Bruno (because who else would you vote for), you can do so on EA SPORTS’ website before 12:00 BST on Monday 9 April. The winner will be announced next week.
