Bruno might have yet to be named the actual best Player of the Month leaguewide, but he’s already snatched this month’s FUN88 such award among Newcastle teammates. Not bad for a start and a good sign for Bruno’s options at getting his first PL prize.
If you have been living under a rock, this was Bruno for you this month in terms of games played and simple statistics (player rating courtesy of FotMob):

Not bad, was it? Bruno didn’t play that much in Tottenham’s trouncing of United but after that forgettable game the Brazilian went on a phenomenal tear against all next five opponents—yes, that includes Liverpool—scoring three goals and creating one assist in the last three weeks of the month.
In a little bit more detail, now looking at heat maps from SofaScore, this is what Bruno did leading up to the clash against Liverpool—not included because Newcastle was, well, quite limited so Bruno couldn’t really flash any sort of remarkable skills on that one.

As you can see, the lad did it all playing all across the pitch from defending midfield positions to attacking ones while also manning both flanks for the Magpies against Crystal Palace (more to the right sideline) and Norwich (more to the left one).
You know all of it is no joke because the PL Board of Clever People nominated Bruno for the Premier League’s EA Sports Player of the Month. Voting for that award is still open here, so you know what you have to do before it’s too late!
Right-back Emil Krafth was the runner-up with 10 percent of the vote, with Joelinton and Matt Targett finishing in the third and fourth places respectively.
Bruno, the kindest man of all, had something to say to the Geordie Army:
“Thank you, Newcastle fans. Thank you for voting for me.
“I’m so happy here. We are together. Come on Toon!”.
