The Newcastle United have been once again linked to another striker on the market, this time it's Barcelona's Bojan Krkic, according to The Daily Star. The Star reports that Newcastle and Liverpool could battle it out for the 22-year old striker, who's value according to TransferMarkt.com is around £13 million.
Alan Pardew has made it known the Magpies want to add a striker to the mix to pair with Papiss Cisse and Krkic could be in that mix.
Krkic's father, who also acts as his agent, indicates he wants his son to go to a team where he will get plenty of playing time.
"I am convinced that Bojan has the quality to play for Barca but his priority is to go to a team where he will have plenty of playing time," Krkic's father told the Star.
Krkic picked up three goals and two assists in 27 appearances for AC Milan this past season while on loan from Barcelona. In his career he's also picked up 41 goals and 17 assists in 163 appearances for Barcelona. It's not likely Krkic would come cheap, but with Newcastle desperate for another striker and being only 22, is he someone the Toon should battle for?
