Will the Toon pursue the British wonder kid?

Newcastle United have been monitoring 18-year old midfielder Will Hughes for over a year and according to The Journal, are keeping tabs on his availability this summer once again.

Hughes is considered one of the best young English players in the sport and is expected to be pursued by many clubs, including Newcastle, Manchester City, and Arsenal. The board will be meeting over the next week to determine how to reshape the roster to get back to being a top team, but the thought is that Hughes could be a potential long-term fixture of the club and a target over the summer.

Hughes is not expected to be cheap, but the thing the Magpies have going for them is they can give Hughes premier league minutes with a reshaped midfield, especially if the rumors of a Cheick Tiote move come to fruition, which would give Newcastle a bit of extra scratch.
