It seems the majority of the Newcastle United transfer rumors this summer revolve around strikers, but there is a report in The Express linking the Toon to Belgium centerback Toby Alderweireld. Centerback is an area where the Magpies are looking to strengthen, and the Ajax defender could be in the plans.
Newcastle aren't the only club after his services however, as he's also been linked to Liverpool and Tottenham, the latter of which has been loading up on talent during the summer transfer window.
Alderweireld has been capped 23 times for the Belgium national team and has been a key cog in Ajax's dominance in the Eredivisie.
