The summer transfer window has been a struggle for Newcastle United, but another name to add to the pile of striker targets is Juventus striker Allessandro Matri. The 28-year old striker has been made available by Juventus and according to The Metro, the Toon have contacted his agent declaring interest.
Everton and Sunderland are also said to be interested in Matri and the rumored price tag is £6 million to get him from Juventus. Matri nearly joined Napoli a month ago, but the deal collapsed and now leave Juventus looking to get him off the books.
