Newcastle United agree to Loic Remy transfer, per report

Mike Hewitt

Newcastle United have reportedly agreed to a season-long loan of French striker Loic Remy, with the option of purchasing him outright at the end of the loan according to multiple reports. The Mirror states that the Magpies will pay Queens Park Rangers £1.8 million initially for the loan with the option of keeping Remy afterwards for another £7 million.

With Newcastle reportedly also agreeing to a transfer for striker Bafetimbi Gomis, the Toon now seem to have an abundance of goal scores when you also consider the resolution of the Papiss Cisse Wonga issue.

As always, the deals haven't been finalized yet for Gomis and Remy, but by all appearances so far they should be relatively soon.
